Remote Learning

Dear Parents and Pupils

I hope this finds you  and your families well.

As you are aware work has been provided for your children up to March 27th. From March 30th, teachers will provide work to their class on a weekly basis excluding Easter holidays as per the school calendar.

This work will be made available via the Aladdin app. Your class teacher will be in touch with the specific detail regarding this.

Each teacher will provide their school email address should parents wish to contact them with a query.

While school may provide some structure to daily life and help in setting a routine for children, teachers are keenly aware that many families are facing challenges at the moment.

Teachers are very aware that
some parents are working,
some are working in the health system,
some are looking after loved ones,
may be sick themselves,
may have poor broadband
or may have no access to a computer or a device.

All these factors are taken into account.

Do what you can. Do what is manageable in your own personal circumstances.

While teachers are fully committed to providing work and in assisting parents in its delivery, teachers’ own circumstances may also change. They may become sick themselves or may be looking after loved ones.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish you all well as we all adjust to these strange times. I thank all pupils, parents, teachers, Board of Management and indeed the entire school community as together we answer the call to remote teaching and learning with flexibility and adaptability.

Take care.

Le gach dea-ghuí
